Seoul, South Korea March 24, 2020: Today, the International Functional Fitness Federation (iF3) announced its recognition of the Korea Functional Fitness Association as the national governing body for competitive functional fitness in the Republic of Korea.

Seong Hyun Go, President of the Korean Federation, announced, “I am so excited to be part of being a member of the iF3. We have many talented and high level functional fitness athletes in Korea. I can’t wait to watch their performance in IF3’S world championship.”

He went on to explain that, “Actually, we already have a competition in Korea called K BOX RISE. We want to give the spots to go to the world championship to the podium finishers.”

The Korean Federation will be aiming to make their first appearance at the iF3 World Championships in 2020. The 2020 World Championships will be held in British Columbia, Canada. More information about the work of the Korean Federation is available at http://instagram.com/korea_functional_training

Seong Hyun Go expressed his excitement about the future saying, “Let’s get it on World. We will definitely show the Korean strong to the world stage.”

Gretchen Kittelberger, President of the International Functional Fitness Federation, commented, “The addition of the Korean Federation signifies our strong and continued growth in east Asia. Functional fitness is burgeoning in Asia, and we know the team behind the Korean Federation will be strong ambassadors and leaders for the sport and help further drive development of the sport in Korea. We are very excited to welcome them as members of the iF3 and look forward to seeing Korean athletes on the competition floor at World Championship events.”
