Gretchen Kittelberger - President
Gretchen Kittelberger is the founder and current President of the International Functional Fitness Federation. She grew up in Rochester, NY and was a gymnast all her life, ultimately competing at the NCAA Division 1 level on a full scholarship at the University of Maryland. She was First Team Academic All-American in 2008. After graduating from Maryland and retiring from competitive gymnastics, Gretchen went on to attend law school at the University of Virginia. While in law school, she discovered CrossFit® for the first time. She eventually started training and competing in CrossFit® and functional fitness competitions, competing four times as an individual athlete at the CrossFit Games from 2011-2014 and winning the Mid-Atlantic CrossFit Games Regional in 2014. Gretchen served as in house legal counsel for CrossFit, LLC from 2012 through the beginning of 2016. In August of 2016, she founded the International Functional Fitness Federation (iF3) with the goal of creating the sports governance structure necessary to get the sport into the Olympic Games. She currently serves as the President of the iF3 and also continues to practice as an attorney working in house in the educational technology sector.
