The iF3 and the Hungarian Functional Fitness Sports Federation (HUNF3) are excited to announce the recognition of HUNF3 as an official National Sports Union in Hungary. As part of the recognition, the Federation will transition its operating name from Nemzeti Funkcionális Fitneszversenyzési Sportági Szövetség to Magyar Funkcionális Fitneszversenyzési Sportági Szövetség or Hungarian Functional Fitness Sports Federation. This name change represents the new official status of the Hungarian Federation.
Gabor Torok President of the Hungarian Federation commented “Over the past years, we’ve put in our best efforts to achieve this status. We believe this milestone will give a strong boost to both the Hungarian and the international federation.”
iF3 President Gretchen Kittelberger expressed her enthusiasm for the Hungarian Federation by saying, “Last year, the Hungarian Federation hosted an excellent Super Worlds, and I am proud to see how they have been able to use the momentum from that event to push their Federation and the sport in Hungary forward. Government recognition is a huge accomplishment, and Gabor and his team have been working hard for a long time to make this dream a reality in Hungary. This recognition will open many new doors and create incredible opportunities for the Hungarian athletes, and we are thrilled to help support the Hungarian Federation in that journey. I extend my sincere congratulations to Gabor and the entire Hungarian Functional Fitness Federation.”
