January 14, 2020: Today the International Functional Fitness Federation (iF3) announced it will hold its 2020 Master’s World Championships as part of the 7th TAFISA World Sport For All Games Lisbon 2020. The event will take place October 1-7th in Lisbon, Portugal. The exact dates of the functional fitness competition will be announced shortly.
The Association for International Sport for All or TAFISA is the leading international sport for all association and strives to raise awareness about the benefits of Sport For All and physical activity. TAFISA endeavors to reintroduce physical activity into the everyday life in order to bring joy, health, social interaction, integration and development to communities and citizens around the globe.
Every four years TAFISA holds their flagship event, the World Sport for All Games. The event typically attracts up to 50,000 participants and visitors from up to 100 countries and is often under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the United Nations Educational, Science, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
The iF3 Master’s World Championships will take place during the World Sport for All Games and allow the competitors the unique opportunity to participate in a large multi-sport event that brings together many different cultures, people, and sports in a picturesque and historic location.

The iF3 Master’s World Championships will feature competitions in the following age groups 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, and 60+. Athletes’ age is determined by their age as of December 31, 2020. Each National Federation of the iF3 is allowed to send up to 3 male and 3 female athletes to compete in each age division. Additional spaces will be made available for athletes from the host country of Portugal. Athletes looking to qualify to the iF3 Master’s World Championships should reach out to the National Federation in their country about the qualifying process.
