Budapest, Hungary November 25, 2019: Today, the International Functional Fitness Federation (iF3) announced its recognition of the Nemzeti Funkcionális Fitneszversenyzési Sportági Szövetség (NEFFISZ) as the national governing body for competitive functional fitness in Hungary.
Tamas Radnai, President of NEFFISZ, announced, “Hungary is not a large country, but we have always been great at sports. Indeed, we have had great success in the sport of functional fitness as well in the last decade at the continental and even world level. We’ve been watching the successful expansion of the iF3 in the last couple of years and we were happy to see its progress, which galvanized our community to act now to create our own national federation and join the iF3 family!”
He went on to explain that, “We have worked tirelessly in the last 3 months to create NEFFISZ with as much involvement from our community as possible in that timeframe to get a running start for 2020, which year will definitely see our participation at the iF3 World Championships! We also want to make sure that we get the highest recognition from the Hungarian authorities as fast as possible therefore creating our federation in 2019 was crucial!”
NEFFISZ plan to attend their first iF3 World Championship in 2020. The 2020 World Championships will be held in Abbotsford, Canada from August 21-August 23 2020 and will feature athletes from around the world.
