April 2, 2026: Today the International Functional Fitness Federation (iF3) held an election to fill the Vice-President position that has been vacant since last November. The assembly also voted on two proposals regarding junior divisions.
After multiple rounds of voting, no vice-presidential candidate had obtained a clear majority of votes. According to the iF3 Voting policy, this is declared to be a tie and the two candidates with the most votes will both hold the office. The iF3 is excited to welcome Mr. Neil Andrew Macleod of Italy and Mr. Harry Thomsett of the United Kingdom as the new Vice-Presidents of the iF3.
Neil Andrew MacLeod is an Italian Lawyer specialized in EU Labour, Companies, and Sports Law, combining advisory and litigation expertise with leadership in high performance international environments. As President of the Italian Functional Fitness Federation and advisor of several international sport organizations, he promotes sport alongside inclusion and human rights.

Mr. MacLeod commented, “I am extremely grateful for this nomination. It will be an honour to serve this global community full of potential. Functional Fitness is one of the greatest sports in the world. We deserve the Olympic stage, and we will reach it.”
Harry Thomsett joins the iF3 Board as Vice President with specific responsibilities for generating commercial value for the federation and its affiliated national governing bodies. Having founded and led the British Functional Fitness Federation for nearly ten years, Mr. Thomsett understands national governing bodies and what they need from the iF3. He is also an experienced financial and commercial leader who has grown companies across different sectors and countries since leaving the military 15 years ago. Mr. Thomsett has also held senior executive roles on the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Expo 2020 Dubai.

He expressed his excitement over joining the iF3 Board stating, “Over the last ten years, the movement has collectively achieved a great deal, but there are historical constraints to overcome and new challenges to meet. I look forward to serving as Vice President on the iF3 Board and advancing our purpose to create a vibrant, valuable and sustainable sport for all.”
Both Vice-Presidents will begin duties with the iF3 effective immediately.
The assembly also passed two resolutions relating to the Junior age groups during the session. The first resolution adds a minimum age to the 12 and Under Age group. This age group will now be called the 11-12 age group and athletes must be no younger than 11 by December 31st of the year of competition.
The second resolution adds a 5th test for the 11-12 and 13-14 age groups. Previously, these age groups only performed 4 tests in international competition. With the passage of this resolution, the Skill test will now be included as the 5th test for 11-12 and 13-14 year old athletes competing in international competition.
