Today, the International Functional Fitness Federation (iF3) announced its recognition of O’zbekiston Funksional Ko’pkurash Federatsiyasi as the national governing body for competitive functional fitness in Uzbekistan. Ganiev Mamirjon Jamoldinovich, President of the Uzbekistan Functional All-Around Federation, announced, “We will do our best to develop and popularize the Functional All-Around to a decent level in Uzbekistan”
Mr Jamoldinovich went on to explain that, “Priority tasks for the promotion of a new sport in 2022, to bring the Functional All-Around to a new level, open new clubs in the regions, attract qualified coaches, organize national and international competitions, create decent conditions for athletes and further strengthen the material and technical base”.
The Uzbek Federation is now eligible to send athletes to iF3 International events. Their first opportunity to do so will be at 2022 iF3 Worlds in Moscow, Russia August 26-28th. More information about the work of the Uzbek Federation is available at www.fkkf.uz.
Jamoldinovich expressed his gratitude for the progress of the Federation saying, “ We thank you iF3 for your trust to give us an opportunity being part of a huge international community. We look forward to close cooperation and a great future together”
Gretchen Kittelberger, President of the International Functional Fitness Federation, commented, “We just recently learned about the existence of the Functional Fitness Federation in Uzbekistan, but they have actually been in existence for almost an entire year and actively working to develop and grow the sport in Uzbekistan. We are very excited to have them officially join the iF3 family and expand our representation on the Asian continent. We look forward to seeing athletes from Uzbekistan compete at Worlds in Russia later this year.”
