Q: How Can I Set a World Record?

A: For Senior Athletes, the initial World Records have been set by 2025 World Champions Mirjam Von Rohr and Tommaso Pieri. The first opportunity to beat their times and set a new World Record will be August 20-23rd in Bath, United Kingdom. In order to qualify for a place in Bath, athletes must finish in the top 19 in any of the 3 tests during the online qualifier phase which will run from March 1 to June 30. Online qualifier requirements, including floor plans and video requirements will be posted online no later than March 1. World Records may only officially be broken during in-person, live events.

For Masters and Junior Athletes, no World Records have yet been established in the 3 tests. This means that the provisional World Records will be established via the online qualifier running from March 1 to June 30. The top times in each division for each test will become the provisional World Records. These records will stand as official World Records until an in-person opportunity for Masters and Juniors to beat the records is held in 2027.

Q: What if I am a Master/Junior athlete and I want to try to set a record in the Senior Division?

A. You can! Anyone can register for the Senior Division regardless of age (yes even if you are 13 years old or 65+). However, you must do the appropriate weights and reps for the Senior Division to post a score in that division. If you want to register for both the Senior Division and your appropriate Masters/Junior division you will have to use two separate Circle21 accounts and register separately in each division.

Q: What if I don’t have a National Federation?

A: Anyone can participate in iF3 World Record events even if they don’t have an active National Federation. However, those without a National Federation are ineligible to receive prize money if they break or set a new World Record.

Q: Is this only for World Records?

A: No, we will also be tracking National Records! The leaderboard can be filtered by country in order to determine who holds the National Record in each test.
