Worlds 2021 relocated to Norrköping, Sweden

Due to the restrictions in Australia with extensive requirements of quarantine for anyone entering the country, the International Functional Fitness Federation (iF3) and the Australian Functional Fitness Federation decided a couple of months ago to abort the planning of hosting the World Championships in Logan, Queensland in 2021.

Since then, the iF3 has reached out to a number of other federations to see if anyone was willing to step up to the plate with short notice. Fortunately, the Swedish Federation (Swe3F) accepted the challenge and will be hosting the event.

“We are very happy to award the hosting contract to Sweden again” says iF3 President Gretchen Kittelberger, referring to the event in 2019 which was hosted in Malmö, Sweden with great success.

“Sweden has a very solid federation with great support from the community, and the team that will take care of the event is extremely experienced”, Kittelberger says.

The event will be hosted at the Stadium Arena in the city of Norrköping, about two hours south of Stockholm.

All details about the event will be published on the special event website if3worlds.com
